Sam prepared for his show career by winning Best Puppy at the PVSSC Match, Group One at the Charlottesville Albemarle KC and Shawnee KC Matches, and Best Puppy in Match at the Warrenton KC show. Sam continued his success in the regular classes with a BEST OF BREED AND GROUP FOUR under Judge Doug Holloway, and two Best of Breeds under Judges Victoria Jordan and Angela Porpora. After completing his championship May 2009, Sam achieved several Best of Breed awards over the winter of 2009/2010.
With the May 2010 inauguration of the AKC’s Grand Champion program, Sam achieved 7 Best of Breeds, 1 Group 4 win, 2 Best of Opposite Sex titles, and 4 Select titles between May and October 2010. He was awarded his Grand Champion title in October 2010. Sam was Potomac Valley Standard Schnauzer Club’s Dog of The Year 2010. Sam is also a Standard Schnauzer Club of America Leading Producer.
Sam is a lovely male with strong type, a harsh rotating coat, strong correct movement, and exquisite head. He has produced lovely quality puppies with Sketchbook and Asgard Kennels, as well as for Halcyon.
